Content policy
Last updated:
This policy applies to the hosted website at probl.dev and the Probl playground, operated by Garlab Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 12345635.
Using Probl and its results
Probl is a tool for exploring probabilistic models. Documentation and examples explain the language and illustrate assumptions; their outputs are not promises about real-world outcomes or professional advice. Check the model, inputs, inference method, unresolved probability and numerical limits before relying on a result.
Probl is early-stage and its syntax is still evolving. Features and hosted services may change. The software and documentation are provided under their applicable open-source licences, including their warranty limitations. Nothing in this policy excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Your programs and data
You retain any rights you have in the programs and data you create. Using the playground does not transfer ownership to Garlab or grant us permission to publish your work. Make sure you have the right to use and share any material you include, and respect other people’s privacy and intellectual property.
Programs run in your browser. The editor remembers your current program locally, and a shared link contains a copy of the program. These sites do not provide user accounts, public uploads, comments or a server-hosted model library. See the privacy policy for storage and sharing details.
Only share a link with people or services you intend to receive the program. Anyone with the link can read or redistribute it; there is no access control or central revocation. Do not put passwords, API keys, confidential information or personal data you are not authorised to disclose in a shared program.
Reusing Probl content
The language implementation is offered under the MIT or Apache 2.0 licence, at your option, unless a file states otherwise. Those licences govern reuse of that software and the documentation and examples included in that repository. Keep the required notices and check the repository’s licence files and any third-party licences.
This policy does not add restrictions to those open-source licences or claim rights over your original models. Links to external material do not grant a licence to that material or imply endorsement.
Use of the hosted sites
Do not use the hosted sites to carry out unlawful activity, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malicious material, attempt unauthorised access, or deliberately disrupt the service. Normal experimentation, learning and running your own models are welcome. We may restrict abusive traffic to protect availability and security.
The sites do not review or moderate programs running privately on your device. GitHub issues, contributions and other external services are governed by their own rules as well as applicable project contribution and licence terms.
Report a concern
For a privacy, copyright or content concern, email [email protected]. Identify the page or material, explain the concern and provide a way to contact you. Include only the information needed to investigate; do not post secrets or sensitive personal information in a public issue.
We can correct or remove material we publish or control. We cannot remove programs from someone else’s browser, revoke a self-contained shared link or delete copies held by recipients. Handling of information you send us is described in the privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its date when the hosted service or this policy changes. Existing open-source licence grants continue to be governed by those licences.
